SUBJECT:
STAFF REQUIREMENTS - SECY-96-261 - MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY AND THE NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION FOR COOPERATION IN SUPPORT OF SIGNIFICANT PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES The Commission has approved the subject Memorandum of l Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Energy.
After approval and execution of the new MOU, the staff should consider whether the existing MOU between NRC and DOE of February 24, 1978, should be revi sed so as to eliminate redundancy and l preserve more concisely'_ipecial features of that MOU.
