Dear Mr. Speck:
This is in partial response to your letter dated October 18, 1984, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Infonnation Act (FOIA), copies of all records related to the Ford Amendment Study.
,As discussed in earlier telephone conversations between NRC staff and you and Other persons in your firm, the NRC has received two other F0IA requests for records relating to the Ford Amendment Study. These requests have been assigned numbers FOIA-84-293 and F0IA-84-516. The NRC has previously made available in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) records subject to these requests. These documents are identified on enclosures of letters to Mr. A.
Patrick Leighton regarding his F0IA request and are in PDR file F01A-84-293 under his name. The letters to Mr. Leighton are dated May 3, 1984, May 17, 1984, June 13, 1984, June 27, 1984, August 1, 1984, and September 4, 1984.
Enclosed are copies of our most recent letter and its enclosure dated June 10 1985, to Mr. Leighton regarding his request.
The records identified on the enclosure of the letter to Mr. Leighton are now available for public inspection and copying at the PDR.
The staff is continuing to review additional records subject to your FOIA request. We will notify you upon completion of this review.
