C. J(gn Shoemaker Secretary to the Appeal Board L

3_/ In his October 4 letter, the County Attorney indicated a desire to obtain an indefinite extension of the time for the filing of the County's brief. This Board will consi-der, however, only applications seeking extensions to a date certain. In addition, although sympathetic to the problems occasioned by the recent hurricane, we are dis-inclined to defer the filing of the County's brief (or that of the State or Southampton) to await the outcome of pending state court litigation portaining to the use of the Nassau Coliseum. This is particularly so if there is no assurance of a rapid disposition of that litigation.
