(Seabrook Station, Units 1 and 2) October 4, 1985 ORDER (Directing Submissions By Staff)

During the hearings held in August, 1983, certain documents relied upon by the parties were to be updated, revised or completed within a short time thereafter.

Accordingly, the Staff is directed to inform the Board as to whether the documents set forth below have been submitted by the Applicants for evaluation b/ the Staff. The Staff shall also indicate whether its evaluations of these submissions are contained in reports and correspondence. Copies of the Applicants' submissions or sections thereof, as well as the Staff's evaluations, shall be provided to the other interested parties and to the Board.

The documents and/or information to be furnished are:

1. The Appitcants' environmental qualification report and any revisions thereto, and Staff's evaluations thereof, if any, that involve -

2. Changes or additions to the new Section 5.0 of the Seabrook StationRadiologicalEmergencyPlanandassociatedappendices(see Applicants'Ex.1,ff.Tr.1483)whichaffect(a)thesetpointsin f TablesA-1throughA-5(seeMacDonald,Tr. 1489-90,1511-13,1544-45);

(b) employment of additional radiation level indicators (if any) as recommended by the Staff (see Sears Tr. 1719-20 (c)correlationofthe assessment / classification scheme with Appendix 1 to NUREG 0654, includingthetwoallegedmisclassifications(seeTr. 1726-30): (d)the alleged omission from the Applicants' Radiological Emergency Plan of recomended protective measures to accompany the diffarent Emergency i ActionLevels(seeSears,Tr.1703). The Staff's evaluations of these changes or additions.

3. The current status of the Westinghouse Owners Group Emergency l ResponseGuidelines(seeMacDonald,Tr. 148690). If this document has been completed, the Staff shall advise where it is located or where l

copies may be obtained. The Staff shall provide the document (s) reflecting its evaluation of these guidelines.

The Staff's responses shall be furnished by October 21, 1985.
