Contract No. NRC-26-93-297 Modi fication No. 51x (6) j Page 2 of 2 The purpose of this modification is to:

1) delete the reference made to the Balakova site under Section C.2 " Objective." 2) revise the scope of work to eliminate the requirement to acquire, deliver, install, integrate, test, and train in the use of the radio system as it applies to the Balakova NPP (which was added per Modification No. 4 to this contract). 3) revise Section B.3

" Consideration and Obligation" to reflect consideration from the contractor for the Government's approval to revise the scope of work to eliminate the requirements pertaining to the Balakova site to offset the cost growth, and 4) revise Section F.8 " Duration of Contract Period." This modification is being initiated due to events which delayed and increased the cost of this effort in the development of an Emergency Response Center in Russia.

Revise Section C.2 of the Statement of Work to delete the phrase which reads:

"and at one other site near Balakova 2.

Revise Section C.3 of the Statement of Work to delete paragraph d. in its entirety, which refers to the installation and testing of prototype equipment at the Balakovo site.

Revise the first sentence of Section C.4 to read "The Contractor shall provide an on-site warranty for all equipment comprising the system from the date of acceptance until August 1. 1996 and shall complete all warranty repairs by August 31, 1996."

As consideration for the Government's approval to revise the scope of work to eliminate the work associated with the Balakovo site to help offset the cost growth, the contractor agrees to accept as part of this modification an equitable adjustment of the total estimated cost of this contract which increases the reimbursable cost ceiling from $396.465 by

$29.541 to $426.006; proportionately decreases the fixed fee from

$29.541 by $29.541 to $0; and leaves the total estimated cost-plus-fixed-fee unchanged at $426.006. As a result, paragraph (a) of Section B.3 is revised to read as follows:

"(a)

The total estimated cost to the Government for full performance of this contract is $426.006, of which the sum of $426.006 represents the estimated reimbursable costs, and of which $0 represents the fixed fee "

Revise Section F.8 to read:

"Although the Government contemplates use of the system (s) (hardware and software) for the system's life of three (3) years. the term of this contract shall conclude on August 31, 1996."

All other terms and conditions of this contract remain unchanged. including the requirement to provide the final configuration report.
