DPR-42 50-306 DPR-60 Followup Response to Generic Letter 67-02, Verification of Seismic Adequacy of Mechanical and Electrical Equipment in Ooerating Reactors. Unresolved Issue (USD A-46 By letter dated November 20,1995, we submitted to the NRC a Summary Report, as outlined by the SQUG Generic implementation Procedure (GlP). This letter also provided our commitment to an NRC submittal of an outlier resolution schedule within 90 days of the end of the Unit 1 refueling outage. We submitted that schedule by letter dated May 31,1998.

We provided the following schedule:

MECHANICAL AND RELAY OUTLIERS 1

For those outliers where the resolution has been determined to be j}

additional engineering analysis, the required analysis will be completed no later than December 31,1996.

For those outliers where the resolution is a modification, non-outage modifications will be completed no later than December 31,1997.

Unit 1 outage-related modifications will be completed during the

. t refueling outage for Cycle 20 reload scheduled for Spring 1999. Unit 2 outage-related modifications will be completed dunng the refueling outage for Cycle 19 scheduled for Fall 1998.

Reviews and evaluations are still being conducted to determine the resolution of this issue. We commit to having a resolution and submitting a schedule of implementation by December 31,1996.

We have completed all analyses as discussed for the mechanical and relay outliers.

The implementation for required modifications will proceed per the schedule as originally outlined. Analysis regarding the charging pump speed control has been performed and the determination made that no changes are necessary.

In this letter we have made no new Nuclear Regulatory Commission commitments.
