Atlanta, Georgia 30303 Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant - Unit 2 Containment Five Year Tendon Surveillance Report
~ Gentlemen:
Pursuant to Technical Specification 3/4.6.1.6, Alabama Power Company has completed the five year tendon surveillance for Farley Nuclear Plant Unit-2.
The results indicate that, within the scope of this surveillance, the post-tensioning system exhibits no signs of abnormal degradation and that the system is performing its intended design function with a margin of safety.
Enclosed for your information are eight (8) copies of the Containment Five-Year Tendon Surveillance Report, Volumes One and Two. This report includes a description of the tendon and concrete condition,.the inspection procedure and the related tolerances. Additional information regarding this surveillance is available at the Farley Nuclear Plant for review upon xquest.
