MODIFICATION NO. 2 TO TASK ORDEF NO. 8 ENTITLED " REVIEW 4
OF SEVERE ACCIDENT MITIGATION DESIGN ALTERNATIVES FOR I THE WESTINGHOUSE AP600 DESIGN" UNDER CONTRACT NO. )
NRC-03-93-032 i The purpose of this modification is to extend the period of i
- performance of the subject task order to June 30, 1997 at no additional cost or obligation to the Government. The extension is necessitated by the fact that Westinghouse cannot respond to i existing SAMDA RAIs until the end of February 1997, thereby l delaying the contractor's completion and submittal of the final
technical evaluation report (TER). In' addition, the extension i allows NRC to provide comments on the final TER, and for the I contractor to incorporate these comments into the final TER. !
As the period of performance initially expired on October 31, !
1996, any costs incurred between November 1, 1996 and December 5, l 1996 will not be reimbursed. The effective date of this 4
modification is December 6, 1996.
l In accordance with Section G.5 (c) of the subject contract entitled " Task Order Award," this letter definitizes Modification No. 2 to the subject task order.
l The second paragraph, first sentence of the definitization letter I
- of the basic task order is revised to' extend the expiration date 1 of Task Order No. 59 from " October 31, 1996" to " June 30, 1997."
The issuance of this modification does not amend any other terms and conditions of the subject task order including the ceiling amount of $52,342.
A summary of obligations for the subject task order, from award l date through the date of this action, is given below. '
