l NOTE-T0 EDITORS -- ACRS MEETING i l Two subcommittees of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Advisory  !

l Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) will hold a joint technical meeting  !

January 9, in Rockville. Maryland.  !

The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin at 1:00 p.m. in l Room 2B1 of the NRC's Two White Flint North Building at 11545 Rockville Pike. i The subcommittees on Material and Metallurgy and Severe Accidents will hold  ;

discussions with NRC staff regarding the November 20 ACRS letter to the NRC -l Executive Director for Operations on the proposed steam generator integrity rule and an associated regulatory guide, as well as related matters.  ;

Other aspects of the meeting, including the opporcunity for Jublic  !

comment, are described in a Notice of Meeting to be published in t7e December i 26 edition of the Federal Register.  ;
