Submittal of Supplemental Pages to Pilgrim's Proposed Amendment to Standby Liquid Control /RPS/ Rod Block Technical Specification

Reference:

Proposed Technical Specification Change to Reactor Protection System, Rod Block Instrumentation and Standby Liquid Control Requirements, dated May 1,1996.

By letter of May 1,1996, Pilgrim requested an amendment to section 3/4.4, Table 3.1.1, and Table 3.2.C.1. During subsequent discussions with the NRC, further changes to enhance that amendment i

request were identified and developed. The changes add surveillances, surveillance frequencies and operability requirements for rod blocks associated with the mode switch in the shutdown position.

. We submit the attached pages 3/4.2-20 (Table 3.2.C.1), 3/4.2-22 (notes for Table 3.2.C-1), 3/4.2-23, (Table 3.2.C-2) and 3/4.2-35 (Table 4.2.C) for incorporation into our May 1,1996, amendment request. They are submitted in accordance with 10CFR50.36(b) and 10CFR50.90.

'The changes are encompassed by the.significant hazards considerations accompanying our May 1,1996, amendment request.
