Docket 50-59, License R-23 1

Dear Sir:

Recent modifications to the AGN-201 reactor facility have necessitated minor revisions to the physical security plan applicable to this facility.

These revisions, which do not decrease the ef fectiveness of the plan, were submitted to the U.S. N.R.C. for review and have been found acceptable as per conversation with Mr. Don Carlson of NMSS. Since the Security Plan is directly referenced in Amendment 12 to license R-23, Texas A&M requests that subject license be amended to reflect changes in the original security j plan.

Specifically, amendment 12 to license R-23 states:

. . .provi sio ns of the NRC approved physical securi ty plan ... dated September 13, 1974.

This should be revised to read:

. . .provi sio ns of the NRC approved physical securi ty plan . . .da ted September 13, 1974 as amended September 24, 1984.

Thank you for your prompt consideration of this request.

Yours truly, 8507310392 85071O fR ADOCK 0500 59 Carl A. Erdman Professor and Head CAE/acz
