RScarano, RV LNorderhaug, RV This is in response to your letter and enclosure dated January 25, 1985 (your reference # 696-7005) in which you submitted revised pages to Section_LO of your FundamentalJuclear Material Control _ Plan (FNMCP),
as per our previous request, to clarify your commitments relative to the " current knowledge" requirements of 70.58(h).
We have reviewed your FNMCP revisions and found them to be consistent with the generic guidance provided in our letter of April 20, 1984, and also consistent with the site specific guidance provided by Don Joy of my staff.
We have further determined that your FNMCP revisions will not adversely affect the common defense and security nor the public l
health and safety, and are otherwise in the public interest. Accordingly, we are revising License Conditions 2.1 and 7.1 of Amendment MPP-1 to yo'ur 1,
License No. SNM-696, effective imediately, to read as follows:
2.1 The licensee shall follow Revision A of his Fundamental Nuclear Material Control Plan, dated October 1982; as revised by submittals dated February 3,1984 (pages 1-8, 4-2, 4-3, 8-2, and 8-3) and January 25, 1985 (pages 7-6 through 7-20, all dated February 1985); and as may be revised in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 70.32(c).
7.1 Notwithstanding the requirements of 10 CFR 70.51(e)(1)(iv) and 70.58(h) to maintain current knowledge of the identity, quantity, and location of all discrete items and containers of SNM, the licensee shall follow Section 7.3, and all sub-sections therein, of the Plan identified in Condition 2.1.
