Thank you for your letter of August 5,1985, inviting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to provide a presentation to the High-Level Waste Task Force on the NRC's role in implementing the Nuclear Waste Policy Act. We are pleased to accept the invitation and will be sending Mr. Joseph 0. Bunting, Chief, Policy and Program Control Branch, Division of Waste Management (WM), Ms. Catherine Russell, Project Manager for State / Tribal participation (WM), and Mr. Paul Loha'is, NRC's Region I State Liaison Officer.
Mr. Bunting has been designated the NRC focal point for State / Tribal activities under the Nuclear Waste Policy Act.
