REVIEW OF INTERNATIONAL ELECTR0 TECHNICAL COMMISSION STANDARD We reviewed the following document, " Geophysical Bore-hole Instrumentation to Determine Rock Density," and found it to be adequate and can be used as a standard.

We would suggest that the sampling rate and the resolution of the measurements be included under Clause 13, " Characteristics to be specified in the operation and maintenance documentation or certificate of the equipment." Also, the l reference, International Electrotechnical Commission 692, " Density meters utilizing ionizing radiation, Definition and test methods," should be included under Clause 3, " Normative references."
