Docket No. 50-482: Withdrawal of Proposed Technical Specification Change Gentlemen:
Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) hereby requests the withdrawal of the application for amendment to Facility Operating License No. NPF-42 for Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS) transmitted by the Reference.
This license amendment request would have revised Surveillance Requirement 4.1.3.1.3 to allow the control rod drop surveillance test to be performed with T below 551'F.
avg WCNOC has reevaluated the ' proposed Technical Specification Change and determined that the request should be withdrawn.
This proposed change was submitted to the Westinghouse Owners Group (WOG) to be considered for approval j
as a generic project.
However, in their September, 1996, meeting, the WOG General Session deferred action on the request. This amendment request may be a
resubmitted in the future depending on the results of further WOG action.
