Dear Administrative Judges:

On June 25, 1985, Applicants, after consulting with the a'her parties, proposed that hearings begin on November 19, 1985 in this proceeding. The Staff had concurred.with the schedule, and Joint Intervenors had stated that they could not take a position until they had received certain additional dis-covery responses from Applicants. Applicants indicated that they would talk to Joint Intervenors after the material had been provided and report back to the Licensing Board.

Applicants provided the discovery information on July 5.

Joint Intervenors have informed Applicants that they would pre-fer to have the hearings begin in "early 1986," and that they would file a statement of their position sometime next week.
