Chairman Jackson met with Dr. Hsu at NRC on I
November 9, 1995 to discuss matters of mutual interest.
Kevin Burke from OIP also attended the meeting.
Discussion:

Dr. Hsu mentioned that the main regulat'ory issues in Taiwan l
j focus on radiation in rebar, aging effects, and health maintenance of equipment.
Dr. Hsu noted that Taiwan has a l
10 year review requirement whereby a lioense to operate is l
reissued.
PRA is considered a second priority issue.

'Db. Hsu invited Chairman Jackson to visit Taiwan.

They have laboratories in two areas with shake tables.
He also noted that Manshan has operated for a full year without a hitch.
