[External_Sender] FW: RE: NIST Upcoming License Exam Good morning Travis, I hope you have been well. I was trying to get in touch with the NCNR examiner to address some questions we have concerning our upcoming exam but was not successful. Our PM has suggested I reach out to you for these questions.

If you could review the questions in the below email and get back with us at your earliest convenience it would be much appreciated.

Thank you for your help!

RE: RE: NIST Upcoming License Exam Hi Meagan, Hope you all doing well throughout this pandemic.

Since your questions were all exam specific, it is better to have someone from Travis Tates group to address the questions. I tried to get hold of Paulette but was not successful and I do not know her schedulel. Maybe you can try to get attention of Travis to have his staff help you on this.

[External_Sender] RE: NIST Upcoming License Exam Good morning Xiaosong, I hope you and the family have been well throughout this pandemic.

I sent the below email to Paulette last week in hopes to have some questions answered regarding our upcoming exam but have not heard back as of yet. Could you take a look at these questions and let us know the answers at your earliest convenience?

Thanks for your help with this!

NIST Upcoming License Exam Good Morning Paulette, I hope you have been staying well throughout this pandemic! As you know, we have an SRO exam coming up in June. With the current state of things, some questions have come up. Some of these questions were brought up on the TRTR-NRC call last week, Travis Tate suggested we bring these up with our examiner to make sure we are all on the same page.

Are there any plans on your end to push our exam date to make up exams that were missed due to Covid-19?

When is the latest we can send you the exam materials? I ask because our health unit has been closed for the past 3 weeks and they have three of the SRO candidates physicals in their office, I

wont be able to get the 396s completed for these candidates until we are all back at work and the health unit releases these physicals to me. Another thought, which was mentioned on the TRTR-NRC call as an option for requal, is potentially sending in all of the 398s and waiting on the 396s until we are all back to work. Would this option be acceptable?

We have an SRO candidate who was previously licensed as an SRO at Reed College. This individual started at NIST in September 2019 and we would like him to take the exam in June (he was included in the number of exams we requested). I wanted to verify this will be acceptable with you. Also, this individual had his physical scheduled at the NIST health unit for the end of March, but the health unit shutdown prior to his scheduled date. He has a physical from Reed college in September 2018, can we use that same physical for his initial application or does he have to get a new one?

Both the 386 and 396 say the signature has to be in black ink. Can we sign these forms electronically rather than pen and ink? I brought this up on the TRTR-NRC call last week and it sounded like the answer was yes, but I wanted to verify with you.

On the TRTR-NRC call last week it was discussed that virtual training can be used in lieu of in person training for the classroom portion of the NRC exam requirements, as long as it does not violate our requal plan. Would the use of a virtual training methodology be acceptable?

Lastly, to submit the exam materials to you can we send a thumbdrive? I know in the past we have had to send a CD with the exam material information but that will prove to be challenging since we are all working from home and dont have the tools to do that at home.

Thanks for your help with these questions.
