CONFIRMATION OF UPCOMING NRC INSPECTION AT YOUR FACILITY
Dear Mrs. Jackson:
This letter confirms the dates of November 18-21, 1996, for the U. S. Nuclear I
Regulatory Commission staff to conduct an inspection of the Lucent Technologies, Incorporated facility in Mesquite, Texas.
These dates were established in telephone conversations on November 4-5, 1996, between Mr. Joseph Petrosino of this office and Messrs. Michael Weeks, J. Baldasty, and K. Murugesamoorthi of your staff.
The inspection will relate to the implementation of your Appendix B to 10 CFR Part 50 and 10 CFR Part 21 program that you established to control your round cell Class IE battery qualification, design, and procurement activities and your control of the round cell manufacturer, C&D Charter Power Systems, Incorporated, Leola, Pennsylvania.
