INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENT ACCEPTANCE: This is to advise you that those individuals 'in Enclosure 1 have been accepted for participation in the training course (H-120), " Radiological Surveys in Support of Decommissioning.". This course is scheduled to be presented November 13-14,1996 in Rockville, Maryland at the Two White Flint Building, Professional Development Center, Rm T3B39.
COURSE: The course starts at 8iO0am on Wednesday, November 13th and the course will end at 4:00pm on November 14th. Tuition cost of $643.00 must be paid prior to attendance at the course. Please mail checks to Brenda Usilton, Office of State Programs, Mail Stop 0-3-D-23, Wash!noton, DC 20555.
i LODGING: Arrangements have been made with the Ramada at Congressional Park,1775 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852. A rate of $123.20 including tax will be extended to i
State paying and NRC-paid attendees. In order to confirm your reservation you will need to call (301) 8812300 and tell them you are attending a NRC training course.
TRAVEL AND EXPENSES FOR STUDENTS TRAVELLING AT NRC EXPENSE:
For those States that have requested that NRC continue funding their travel to training and t
have received notice in writing that NRC will continue to fund reasonable training and travel expenses for fiscal year 1997, they should follow the instructions below for Federal travel orders:
Travel: If you travel by air, you must call Carlson Wagonlit Travel, (202) 554-1850, to I
make your flight reservations. You must use Carlson or you may not be reimbursed for your plane ticket. Your tickets will be mailed to you about a week before the course begins. If you travel by car, you will be reimbursed at a rate of $0.31 per mile, with the total payment i
not to exceed the minimum government airfare. For those participants that fly, metro 4
service from National airport will take you to the hotel and to the Two White Flint Building.
l The NRC has received approval from the General Services Administration to allow State l
employees who are able to obtain a special discount (i.e., a lower fare than is available from Carlson Wagonlit Travel) through their State travel agency to purchase tickets themselves i
and be reimbursed via their travel voucher. In order to use your own State travel agency, it j
must be confirmed that Carlson Wagonlit Travel is not able to obtain that same class ticket for the same price. Before purchasing your own ticket, please contact Ms. Usilton at (301) 415 2348 in order to assure the proper procedures are followed.
Expenses: State participants travelling on Federal orders will be reimbursed for expenses in accordance with Federal travel regulations. A voucher will be provided to you at the course.
j Receipts are necessary to claim any expenses of $25.00 or more. Telephone calls will not j
be reimbursed by NRC. The per diem rate for Rockville, MD is $38.00 for meals and miscellaneous expenses. The maximum lodging rate is $124.00 per day, j
