S AFF REQUIREMENTS - ALL EMPLOYEES MEETINGS, 10:30 A.M.
and 1:30 P.M.,
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17, 1996, "THE GREEN" PLAZA AREA, WHITE FLINT NORTH, ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND (OPEN TO PUBLIC ATTENDANCE)
The Commission met with the NRC staff to provide employees the opportunity to address questions directly to th-Commissioners.
The audio portion of the meetings was broadcast to NRC Regional l
Offices, the Technical Training Center, the Walnut Creek Field Office, resident inspector offices, and the Headquarters Public Document Room.
Employees at remote sites were able to submit questions by telephone.
The Commission requested the staff to examine whether:
1.
reactor site experience has become either an explicit or implicit prerequisite for promotion to supervisory or management positions in either the Regions or headquarters, 2.
the potential for promoti on opportunities for clerical and administrative staff can be expanded, and 3.
funds recoverei from the employee recycle program should be used for activities which benefit all NRC employees.
