1996 U. S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION (NRC) TRAINING MANAGERS' CONFERENCE

Dear Mr. White:

Region 11 will host its annual Training Managers' Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20,1996, and from 8:00 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Novem'aer 21,1996. The conference is designed to inform regional operations and training man agement of issues and policies that affect the licensing of reactor plant operators. This year we will concentrate on recent issues and developments conceming the extended pilot examination process.

I would like to extend an invitation to you, and to members of your operations and training staif, to attend this conference. Our goal for the meeting is to provide an open forum for discussion of Operator Licensing issues.

The site for this year's conference will be the Richard B. Russell Federal Building on Spring Street in downtown Atlanta. A map of the area is enclosed for your convenience.
