Dear Ms. Canadi:
This is in further response to your letter dated Narch 1,1985, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), copies of three categories of records pertaining to the NRC Chairman and Comissioners.
In my previous letter to you dated March 14, 1985, I informed you that we were searching for additional records. The search has now been completed.
We have been informed by the staff that there is no record that contains a tabulation which shows the Commissioners' attendance at open and closed meetings.
For your information, the attendance at open Comission meetings from April 1981 to the present are recorded in the transcripts of each open meeting. You may obtain copies of the first page of each open Comission meeting transcript, which indicates which Comissioners were in attendance, from the Nuclear Regulator Comission Public Document Room (PDR),1717 H Street, NW, Washington, DC 20555. We are enclosing a copy of a notice that provides charoes and procedures for obtaining copies of records from the PDR. Please enclose a copy of this letter when you write to the PDR.
In order to obtain information concerning the Commissioners' attendance at the Closed Commission meetings, you may wish to write to Mr. Thomas R. Combs, Chief, Correspondence and Records Branch, Office of the Secretary, U. S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Washington, DC 20555.
Please enclose a copy of this letter in the event you write to Mr. Combs regarding this matter.
