SUBJECT: REPORTS NOS. 50-83/85-02 AND 70-1068/85-02
This refers to the routine safeguards inspection conducted by Mr. D. E. Moore and
Ms. O. M. Masnyk of this office on June 24-25, 1985, of activities authorized by
NRC License Nos. R-56 and SNM-1050 at the University of Florida Training Reactor
and SPERT Assembly facilities and to the discussion of findings held with
Mr. W. G. Vernetson, Reactor Manager, at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are identified in the report. Within these
areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures and
. representative records, interviews with personnel, performance tests, and
observation by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations or deviations were disclosed.
In accordance with Section 2.790(d)(1) of the NRC's " Rules of Practice", Part 2,
Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, activities involving safeguards and
security measures are exempt from public disclosure; therefore, the enclosed
inspection report with the exception of the report cover page, which is an
inspection summary, will not be placed in the Public Document Room.
