Dear Mr. Stolz:
This letter is to inform you of several senior management changes approved on June 18, 1985, by the Toledo Edison Company Board of Directors. These changes, effective July 1, 1985, are as follows:
Mr. Paul M. Smart, currently Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and General Counsel was elected President and Chief Operating Officer due to the retirement of Mr. Vendell A. Johnson.
Mr. Joe Williams, Jr.,
was designated Senior Vice President, Nuclear, with full responsibility i
for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. 1.
He will report directly to Mr. Williamson, Chairman of the Bosrd and Chief E::ecutive Officer.
In my new position as Senior Vice President, Operations, I will have responsibility for Energy Supply and Customer Service and will report directly to Mr. Smart. The attached Toledo Edison Company organization chart reflects these management changes.
