SUBJECT:
TRANSMITTAL OF TELEPHONE CONFERENCE MEMORANDUM BETWEEN URF0 AND WMGT REGARDING GROUNDWATER REVIEWS AT UMTRAP SITES I have received the attached memorandum of March 20, 1985, telephone conference between the Division of Waste Management and the Uranium Recovery Field Office. As a result of this meeting it appears that a difference of opinion exists about the reliability of geochemical models to make predictions. Therefore, I intend to request the staff to prepare a short technical position paper on the reliability of geochemical and transport models. My proposed target is that the initial draft should be prepared by the end of May.
