PROPOSED IMPOSITION OF CIVIL PENALTY - $500,000 On May 29, 1985 the Commission was informed that a Notice of Violation and Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalty in the amount of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000) would be issued on or about May 31, 1985 to Mississippi g
Power and Light Company. This is to ir. form the Commission that the enforcement action was issued today with minor editorial changes in the letter to the licensee.
The licensee has thirty days from the date of the Notice in which to respond.
Following NRC evaluation of the response, the civil penalty may be remitted, mitigated, or imposed by Order.
