Dear Dr. Jackson:
Congratulations on your recent appointment as Chairperson. It is with renewed hope ttist I send you tNs message: Louisiana Energy Services (LES) is proposing a uranium enrichment plant that threatens the land, air and water quality of Forest Grove and Center Springs, Louisiana.
l l believe that this facility is dangerous and totally unnecessary. Furthermore,the i
sitirg of this facility between two low income African-American communities is I
a clear example of environmental racism and sets a dangerous precedent for other low income communities of color.
}
No community should be forced to host this dangerous facility.1 ask that you use j
your authority to prevent LES f obtaining a permit to build the Claibome Enrichment Center ensure envi ntal protodion of local citizens.
