Dear Dr. Jackson:
Congratulations on your recent appointment as Chairperson. It is with renewed hope that I send you this message: Louisiana Energy Services (LES) is proposing a uranium enrichment plant that threatens the land, air and water quality of Forest Grove and Center Springs, Louisiana.
1 believe that this facility is dangerous and totally unnecessary. Furthermore, the 4
siting of this facility between two low income African-American communities is i
a clear example of environmental racism and sets a dangerous precedent for i
other low income communities of color.

No community should be forced to host this dan 0erous facility. I ask that you use your authority to prevent LES from obtaining a permit to build the Claibome Enrichment Center and ensure the eiwironmental protection of local citizens.
