Dear Dr. Jackson:
Congratulations on your recent appointment as Chairperson. It is with renewed hope that i send you this message: Louisiana Energy Services (LES) is proposing a uranium enrichment plant that threatens the land, air and water quality of Forest Gmve and Center SprinOs, Louisiana.
I believe that this facility is dangerous and totally unnecessary. Furthermore,the siting of this facillty between two low income African-American communities is a clear example of snvironmental racism and sets a dangerous precedent for i
other low income communities of color.
No community should be forced to host this dangerous facility. I askthat you use your authority to prevent LES from obtainin0 a permit to build the Claibome Enrichment Center and ensure the environmental protection of local citizens.
