Con 0ratulations on your recent appointment as Chairperson. It is with renewed hope that I send you this rnessage: Louisiana Energy Services (LES) is proposing a uranium enrichment plant that threatens the land, air and water quality of Forest Grove and Center Springs, Louisiana.
l believe that this facility is dangerous and totally unnecessary. Furthermore,the siting of this facility between two low income African-American communities is j
a clear exampia of savironmontal racism and sets a dangerous precedent for other low income communities of color.
No community should be forced to host this dan 0erous facility.1 ask that you use your authority to prevent LES from obtaining a permit to build the Claibome Enrichment Center and ensure the environmental protection of local citizens.
