  • " Shutdown Cause, Comments and Date Duration Number (yymmdd) Type (Hours) Reason Method Corrective Actions 96-02 960716 F 112.5 A 4 All 6 Baffle Bolts to the 2B RCP (Reactor Coolant Pump) broke allowing the Baffle to rub against the Heat Exchanger, and leading to abnormalities in the RCP Seal.

A controlled shutdown of the plant was performed.

Repairs included replacement of the 2B RCP Baffle Bolts, Baffle, Heat Exchanger and Seal. Refer to CR-96-1048 l for additional details.
