CLOSE-OUT OF NRC REVIEW OF GENERIC LETTER (GL) 89-10, " SAFETY RELATED MOTOR-OPERATED VALVE TESTING AND SURVEILLANCE" PROGRAM Deer Mr. Wood:
During the period of December 11-15,1995, we conducted an onsite inspection of your Motor Operated Valve (MOV) program to verify completion of your commitments to the generic letter. The findings of this inspection were documented in NRC Inspection Report No. 50-346/95010. Within this report, we requested that you submit additional information to clarify certain aspects of your program. You submitted this information in a letter to the NRC dated March 20,1996. Since then, several teleconferences with members of your staff were conducted to address questions related to your ongoing testing of MOVs.
Based on NRC staff review, we have determined that your MOV program and implementation are acceptable and meet the intent of GL 8910. Accordingly we are cir. sing the NRC review of your program. We will continue to inspect various elements of your valve program as part of our ongoing inspection activities.
