STAFF RESPONSF TO RECOMMENDATIONS MADE AT 68TH CR6R MEETIN6 At its 62nd meeting on April 26, 1984, CRGR made seven recommendations concerning the proposed decossissioning rule.
In ey memo to you dated 6/12/84, I indicated that we had modified the rule package to incorporate six of those recoseendations. The memo also indicated that we had not revised the rule in response to the recommendation in the area of certification of decounissioning funds and discussed the reascns for not doing so.
At the 68th CR6R meeting en August 8,1984, the CRGR reaffirmed its recommendation that certification of funds in a prescribed amount be allowed for power reactors. We have revised the rule package to incorporate this recommendation and will send the rule package to W. J. Dircks.
