" Resolution of Generic Letter 93-04" letter from C. Y. Shiraki to D. L. Farrar dated 27 Jan,1995 in accordance with the referenced documents, Byron Station has completed modifications to the control rod drive systems, implementing the current order timing changes defined in the Westinghouse Technical Bulletin. Work and testing were completed in December,1995, during a planned midcycle outage for Unit 1. Work was completed in August,1996, and testing was completed in October,1996, during a refueling outage for Unit 2.
Also, in accordance with the referenced documents, station procedures iBVS XPT-1, Unit One Control Rod System Checkout Following Refueling, and 2BVS XPT-1, Unit Two Control Rod System Checkout Following Refueling, have been revised to test the control rod drive current order timing. This surveillance is performed every refueling outage and verifies that the current orders are omring in the proper sequences for operator demanded control rod insertion and withdrawal.
