- All six models of smoke detectors will contain a type 200 t ionization chamber. All six models share common tooling for i plastic parts. The only differences between the models are 7
listed below: [ Model Number Differences Between Models 0915 9 volt battery powered. 0916 9 volt battery powered and has a " HUSH" feature.. 0918 9 volt battery powered, has a " HUSH" feature and a safety light. 1235 120 volt A.C. powered and has a " HUSH" feature. 1275 120 volt A.C. powered, has a " HUSH" feature and a 9 volt battery back-up. 1285 120 volt A.C. powered, has a " HUSH" feature, a 9 volt battery back-up, and a battery powered safety light.

Regarding: New smoke alarm Model 0914 oH M 2 1^

Dear Mr. Baggot (hf.y-NClh4 C gw We are in the process of adding a new model smoke detector to our product line. The samples are presently at Underwriters
-Laboratories undergoing testing to the UL 217 standard. This detector will be another model in our 091X series of detectors, which uses our type 200 Ionization chamber. These models using the type 200 chamber are currently covered under our NR-317-D-101-E licence.
This new model detector will be our model 0914. The model 0914 is schematically identical to our model 0915. The present model 0915i is a 5 inch diameter unit, the new model 0914 will be the same The unit in a 4 inch diameter enclosure. 0914 will use the same chamber as the 0915. The attachment of the chamber to the printed circuit will be the same as the 0915 (soldered to the PCB). The Printed circuit board will be a smaller version of the 0915 circuit board, it will have the same shape as the 0915 printed circuit board. The circuit board will snap into the plastic base as it does on the 0915. The Piezo horn will be the same as the one used on the 0915. The plastic used for the cover and the base of the 0914 will be the same type and thickness as the plastic'Used on the model 0915. The base and cover of the model 0914 anap together and are I secured with 3 snap latches, the 0915 base and cover also snap together and are secured with 3 latches. The model 0914~ is a smoke alarm which is identical in operation and design to the 0915, it is juct a smaller diameter unit. We feel that because of the similarities between the model 0914 and the existing model 0915, that the model 0914 is within the scope-of being another unit in our 091X series, and should fall within the scope of our existing licence. Please review the enclosed information and determine if this is the case, if it is please add the model 0914 to our license. If the model 0914 does not fall within the NRC scope of being another model in a series, then you will need to let me know how to proceed to have our licence amended to include this model. 1055 Stevenson Court, Suite 102-W .
