1. -The following report is submitted for the period. January 1,1992;- to December 31, 1992, in accordance with Paragraph 50.59, Title 10,-Code of Federal Regulations.
2. During the above period there were no changes in performance characteristics or tests which require inclusion in the annual report.

. 8,104.72. -KW-hours l -: 5. During the report-period there vere 3 unscheduled shut downs. Two-of the; shut downs were caused by the-withdrawal a boron sample shield-vith a

-reactivity of 8 cents and one by accidentally-pushing;the scram reset button.

6. Maintenance problems and the corrective maintenance performed vere as; follows: -

-a. Leak in receiver of pneumatic transfer tube. The leak was caused -

when the previously epoxied titanium patch lost:its integrity. The: tube was removed, and a new titanium patch was epoxied around the-hole.in the receiver. After allowing the epoxy to dry the tube was' replaced.in:the core. The tube continues'to.be watertight, It:is thought'that-the-L- titanium patch may have caught on the upper grid plate during the tubes-

[ removal for inspectior..in 1991, thereby causing the patch to vaaken.'

8. Summary of radioactive effluents released or discharged beyond'the.

effective control-of the license: -

9. The reactor continues to.be used as a neutron source for-neutron activation analysis'of-biological samples and for hot atom chemistry-research. In addition the reactor is being_used for training Fort Calhoun-Station Power Reactor Operators.
