Dear Mr. Stolz:
This letter is to inform the Nuclear Regulatory Commission of recent organizational changes at the Toledo Edison Company's Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1.
Effective July 1,1985, several changes were made to the Toledo Edison Corporate Organization. The position of Vice President, Nuclear has been changed to Senior Vice President, Nuclear. The new reporting re-lationships are shown on the attached organization chart.
As Senior Vice President, Nuclear, I will retain the responsibilities of the former Vice President, Nuclear, but will be reporting directly to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Of ficer of Toledo Edison, Mr. J. P. Williamson.
Mr. Terry Hurray, as Assistant Vice President, Nuclear Operations, will be responsible for all activities pertaining to Personnel, Administration, and Security for the Nuclear Hinsion.
Mr. Hurray will serve as the senior member of my staff and will report directly to me.
To enhance our Nuclear Engineering and Operations organizations, Mr. Lou Storz has been appointed as Davis-Besse Plant Manager.
Mr. Storz will administer and direct all operating and maintenance activities.
Hr. Steve Quennoz, the former Plant Manager, has been appointed Group Director. This new position is responsible for all engineering activities relating to facility additions or modifications of the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station.

License No. NPF-3 Serial No. 1168 July 12, 1985 Page 2 Mr. Michael Schefers has been appointed Planning Superintendent. This new position is responsible for the planning and schedulin. of Station activi-ties.
Mr. Schefers will be aided by the former Maintenance Superintendent, Mr. Don Lee, and will report to the Plant Manager, Mr. Lou Storz.
Mr. Steve Smith has been appointed Maintenance Superintendent.
Mr. Smith will be reporting to Mr. Lou Storz and will be responsible for directing and coordinating preventive maintenance and routine repairs of equipment.
The changes in the plant staff were announced July 10, 1985, and turnover of responsibility, as well as definition of new position details, have begun and will be ongoing until fully implemented.
I believe the above organizational changes will strengthen the Toledo Edison Nuclear Organization, and will provide the staff needed to operate the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station in a safe and cost effective manner.
