Cstlikajion of Permantnlly_Defueled Condition By letter dated January 27,1993, Portland General Electric (PGE) submitted License Change -

Application (LCA) 229, requesting modification to the Trojan Nuclear Plant Facility Operating License to a " Possession Only License" The requested amendment is to becomc effective upon Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approval of the amendment, and upon written certification from PGE to the NRC that the reactor fuel has been permanently off-loaded flom the reactor vessel and placed in the spent fuel pool. This letter certifies that the reactor fuel has been permanently removed kom the reactor vessel at Trojan and has been placed in the spent fuel pool. 'ihe reactor core off-load was completed, thus placing the reactor in the permaneutly defueled and shutdown condition, January 27,1993.
