SECY 92-415 -- REVIEW OF THE COMMISSION'S REGULATIONS AND PRACTICE GOVERNING CITIZEN PETITIONS UNDER 10 CFR 2.206 FOR INSTITUTING PROCEEDINGS AGAINST LICENSEES I strongly endorse Mr. Parler's recommendation that the Commission initiate a review of the 2.206 process,as he has suggested.
I agree that it is timely for the Commission to consider what revisions should be made to our regulatory processes to enhance public participation, and that a review of the 2.206 process is an excellent way to begin.
I also support the holding of a one-day workshop on this subject as soon as practicable, e.g.
late March 1993.
I commend the OGC and the EDO for this initiative.
