Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Replica Simulator Status Update In our most recent status report dated October 1, 1984, (5211-84-2243), GPUN Indicated delivery of the simulator was expected by December 23,1985, as specified by our contract of June 22, 1983 with Singer Link Corp.
- However, based on a projection of contract milestones that have been missed, and observations at a June 27, 1985 visit to Singer Link by the GPUN staff, we do not anticipate delivery of the simulator until at least early in the second quarter of 1986. However, Singer Link Corp. has advised us that they are currently finalizing a plan to assure their obligation for a December 1985 delivery date is met.
GPUN is, of course, currently working with Singer Link in order to minimize, or avert if possible, any additional delays. Assuming that the anticipated delays do occur, GPUN will have a full complement of staff, and will have developed the initial training scenario lesson plans by the revised delivery date.
The new building designed to house the replica simulator is scheduled for completion by October 1985 which will support the contracted delivery date. Based on the above, GPUN expects to be able to begin training using the simulator within 60 to 90 days of simulator delivery and successful site acceptance testing. He will provide a further schedule update by October 1, 1985.
