SUBJECT:
INFORMATION CONTAINED IN SAFETY EVALUATION FOR LICENSE AMENDMENTS NOS. 196 AND 79 (TAC NOS. M92954 AND M92955)
Dear Mr. Cross:
By letter dated September 5,1996, Duquesne Light Company (DLC) identified four minor inconsistencies in the NRC staff's safety evaluation which was issued on February 12, 1996, for License Amendments Nos. 196 and 79 for Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit Nos. I and 2, respectively. The NRC staff has reviewed the inconsistencies identified in DLC's September 5,1996, letter and has determined that these inconsistencies are not material to our conclusion regarding these amendments nor do they change the basis for our approval of these amendments. Therefore, we have decided that no further actions are required.
Thank you for bringing these inconsistencies to our attention; we apologize for any inconvenience they may have caused.
Please contact me at (301) 415-1409 if you have any further questions regarding this issue.
Sincerely,
/s/
