Dear Mr. Denton:
Enclosed is the Braidwood Unit 1 Preservice Inspection (PSI) Nondestructive Testing (NDE) program plan which is being provided to you in response to open items 5.2.4 and 6.6 of the Braidwood Safety Evaluation Report.

The PSI NDE plan has been developed to the requirements of ASME Code Section XI 1977 Edition with addenda through Summer 1978 addenda for the preservice examinations of Class 1, 2 and 3 piping systems.
It includes the automated reactor vessel examination and augmented inspection of tha reactor coolant pump flywheels.
Exemptions permissible by Section XI are identified in the program and relief requests are provided.
Additional relief requests will be added later as required.
Please address further questions regarding this matter to this office.
