SUMMARY
- FEBRUARY 9, 1993, NRC/NUMARC PUBLIC MEETING ON INCORPORATING ADDITIONAL EXAMPLES INTO THE NUMARC GUIDELINE FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MAINTENANCE RULE (10 CFR 50.65) -
The subject meeting was held at the NRC Headquarters Offices. The list of attendees is enclosed.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the addition of examples to the NUMARC maintenance rule implementation guideline, 93-01, Revision 2A, which address the issue of reliability and availability of emergency diesel generators. NRC and NUMARC discussed these proposed additions and agreed that NUMARC would prepare a final written version of these additions and submit them to the NRC by February 23, 1993 (approximately).
NUMARC also stated that they intend to issue Revision 3 to their guideline by the middle of March 1993. This revision would include the examples described above as well as changes resulting from the recently completed NUMARC/ Industry Verification and Validation process for the guideline.
