NOTE TO EDITORS -- ACRS MEETING ,

Two subcommittees of the Nuclear. Regulatory-Commission's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) have scheduled a

-joint technical meeting on October 22, in Rockville to discuss steam generator tube integrity issues.

I The meeting of the ACRS subcommittees on Materials and Metallurgy and on Severe Accidents, is open to the public. It will begin at 8:30 a.m. in Room T-2B1, 11545 Rockville Pike.

Other aspects of the meeting, including the opportunity for public comment, are described in a Notice of Meeting published in i the October 9 edition of the Federal Register.
