Dear Dr. Hultgren:
The enclosed NRC Form 173, Standard Order for DOE Work (SOEW) for $200,000, is submitted in accordance with Section III.B.2 of the DOE /NRC Memorandum of-Understanding of February 24, 1978.
The NRC Form 173 covers ~ additional work under Task Area 3, " Development of Regulatory and Program Guidance Documents for Use by the NRC Staff in Fulfilling its Statutory Responsibility Under Section 274 of the AEA." We are providing additional partial funding for Task Order 5.
The NRC has not reached resolution on a few points for the Subtask A.2 draft proposal; however, partial funding is provided for other work to continue on the other subtasks. Work on Subtask A.2 will be authorized in subsequent correspondence.
