Commitment , In a letter dated April 30, 1992, Portland General Electric Company (PGE) committed to inform the NRC of the reeults of the management - review and the schedule'for approved actions resulting from.an-evaluation of design problems with the Containment Process and Effluent Radiation Monitor (PERM). Current _ Action The containment PERM is only required-to be operable for containment-isolat2on in Modes 1 through 4. Since Trojan has been. permanently. defueled, no further_ action will be taken on this issue.- B. Commitment In response to= concerns raiaed during NRC Inspection 50-344/92-07,- PGE committed to review the categorization of1the safety injection i (SI) accumulator check valves. This commitment was documented in NRC Inspection Report No.-50-344/92-07. Current Action The SI accumulators.are only required to be operable in ModesI l ~,12, , and 3. Since Trojan has.been permanently defueled, this review will

Cn.rrent Acti2n Following permanent removal of fuel from the reactor vessel, the -.c PORVs will not be required by Technical Specifications to be operable;.therefore,;these modifications will not be made. E. Commitment In the response-to NRC Bulletin 88-08, " Thermal Stresses in Piping Connected to-Reactor Coolant Systems", PGE committed to provide a status to-the NRC of the long term solution to thermal-transients in'- piping connected to the Reactor Coolant System (RCS). Current Action Thermal transients are not a concern while shutdown. Since Trojan- , has been permanently defueled and will not resume reactor power~ operation, no further actions wil1~be taken. F. Cnmmitment In the response to a Notice of Violation dated March' 16,'1992,LPGEl committed to' centralize the event invsstigation process undertone: department. Current _ Action This action was completed with the-establishment of the Independent 1 Safety Review Group (ISRG).='Due to staff-reductionsiassociated vith
