Dear Mr. Carne:
An NRC inspection was conducted September 9-13,1996, at your Wolf Creek Generating
Station reactor f acility. The enclosed report presents the scope and results of that
inspection.
The areas inspected consisted of specific elements of maintenance implementation at the ;
Wolf Creek f acility. These elements included control and coordination of maintenance, !
post maintenance testing, minor maintenance, trouble shooting, e i the (ncorporation of
revisions to vendor technical information into the preventive and corrective maintenance
- programs. Your conduct of activities was generally characterized as appropriate.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter

and its enclnsure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR).
