JOHN S. BEPGGREN, "B&W'S SMALL-BREAK LOCA ECCS EVALUATION MODEL" We have completed our review o' the subject topical reports submitted November 1, 198? by Babcock & Wilcox (B&W) letters. We find the reports to be accepteble for referencing in license opplications to the extent specified and
.under the limitations delineated in the reports and the associated f:RC evaluation, which is enclosed. The evaluation defines the bases for acceptance of the reports.
We do not intend to repeat our review of the natters described in the reports and found acceptable when the reports apoear as references in license applications, except to assure that the material presented is applicable to the specific plant involved. Our acceptance applies only to the metters described in the reports.
In accordance with procedures established in PUPEG-0390, it is requested that B&W publish eccepted versions of these rercrts, within three months of receipt of this letter. The accepted versions shall incorporate this letter and the enclosed evaluation between the title paae and the abstract. The accepted versions shall include er -A (designating accepted) following the report identification symbol.
