Subject:

Inspection No. 9999-0001/85-07 This refers to the inspection of your activities, as they relate to the regulations of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), by Mr. C. Stearns of this office on April 17, 1985.

As stated by Mr. Stearns during this inspection, the distribution of luminous watches containing tritium or promethium-147 is regulated by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and anyone engaged in this activity is required to be licensed under Part 32.14 of NRC regulations.

A copy of the pertinent regulations and an application for a NRC license is enclosed with this letter.

In order to authorize the distribution of these watches, you must complete this application, and return it to this office.
